You can take a guided walk anywhere. But a walk with a storyteller is something completely different! You hear stories from history at the very place where they once happened. The storyteller takes you on a journey through history and knows how to captivate you immediately.
During a theatre tour of 'The Story of Leiden', you experience the past as if you were there yourself. You meet characters who come to life in short stories. Almost all the characters in the theatre tour actually existed. History suddenly feels very close.
The Story of Leiden draws from the city's rich history. The archives are brimming with wonderful stories. The performances of The Story of Leiden are based on research. The storytellers are recognizable by their historical costumes.
The stories are all self-written and almost entirely based on historical sources. The storytellers' clothing is largely self-made.
